Wam Welsh Ramble Instructions

Gary Burns 38 Molyneux Road Waterloo Liverpool L224QZ gary.morini@tesco.net

Please take a few minutes to read All the Instructions. Thanks

The Landmarks List is the locations you are invited to visit. I will hope to have checked all the landmarks by the time you see these instructions, but any errors in locations or spellings will no doubt be brought to my attention. But always remember that a good marker beats a good player, so any comments on my parenthood will be dealt with accordingly.

Instructions
  1. On visiting the landmarks of your choice, take a photograph 0f it, including your vehicle, (showing it's registration number on at least one photo, to correlate with claim form) and the Welsh Ramble Control Card.
  2. If you cannot get your vehicle close enough to a landmark to get a photograph of both due to restrictions of vehicular access. Walk to it and then take your photo, do include the control card though. Then take a second photo of something else in the area showing your machine to confirm your visit during the duration of the rally, such as car park sign, village sign, post office or railway station, but it must identify the locality. Both photos are required for full marks. Photos of just the car park signs etc. will only be given 50% of the points available (as you are not showing the landmark).
  3. If you have difficulty in walking some distance to a land mark e.g. injury or disability, please explain on the back of the photo or with an accompanying note.
  4. If you lose your control card on a trip, take your photos, but state when you lost your card on the back of them. Replacement control cards can be downloaded from the web site- http://www.welshramble.co.uk/conrol.htm or by contacting me and I'll send you a replacement laminated one for a £1(to cover costs & mailing).
  5. Ensure you understand exactly what is required to be photographed if you are in any doubt take and submit extra photos.

Having done the interesting bit and visited all your chosen landmarks:-

  1. Write your name and address on the back of at least one of the photos (small sticky labels are the easiest way). This will help to identify photos if they get separated during marking or disappear into the black hole referred to as my filing system! Digital prints are fine But I will only accept them in standard JPEG format. Please do not use fancy and obscure software to create nice albums, as I would then need to install the software to view them, and I will not do this as I already have far too much junk on my computer as it is. Web based submissions will also not be accepted. Please keep it simple, collect your images burn them to a disc with any notes-such as lost control cards(don't worry I lost two on my travels!) and send them physically to me. If you want to use film no problem, just send me your photos again with any notes.
  2. Write the county and the landmark on the back of each photo, or label each jpeg, this will make marking much easier for me.
  3. Fill in your claim form, please make it clear-name, address, bike and registration. Send this with your submitted photos to me, or if you see me give them to me direct.

Once the Points for each person has been checked awards will be made according to the score achieved, the type of awards is yet to be sorted but will be finalised before this site goes live. These will be classified as follows:-
